The New Jersey Public Safety Accreditation Coalition is a nonprofit organization that, for almost 20 years, has mentored hundreds of Accreditation Managers in New Jersey, surrounding states and beyond, to achieve and maintain accreditation with their chosen respective Accreditation programs.
The Coalition is New Jersey’s only independent accreditation institution not directly affiliated or associated with Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), New Jersey Chief’s of Police Association (NJLEAP), or any other credentialing commission or organization. Being an independent organization allows us to be successful in mentoring and assisting with compliance needs within several accreditation programs without compromising the integrity of those program.
We also pride ourselves on providing compliance assistance and mentoring with agencies that are not yet in any process to achieve accreditation but are looking to enhance their professional excellence through policy and guidelines within their departments. These non-accredited agencies are welcomed and encouraged to participate in the coalition.
We independently and confidentially serve the needs of public safety organizations and their chief executive officers, whether seeking accreditation or not, as a means to pursue professional excellence. We encourage the fortitude of Leadership and networking within this intricate nexus with
The mission of the New Jersey Public Safety Accreditation Coalition is to assist law enforcement agencies, public safety training academies, and public safety communications centers in achieving and maintaining accreditation through the Commission on the Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and the New Jersey Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (NJSLEAP).

Our mock assessors will work tirelessly and selflessly to conduct an unbiased comprehensive inspection of an agency’s accreditation files, facilities, and operations in preparation for the assessment team.
We will develop and support ancillary programs that enhance an agency’s ability to perform in accordance with standards as promulgated by CALEA, NJSACOP, and other State accreditation programs.
Using technology as a platform we will act as a collaborative network for member agencies that encourages communication, mutual cooperation, support, and the sharing of valuable resources.
