Bill began his career in law enforcement 1987.  Bill served for 27.5 years as an officer for the West Windsor Township Police Department and the Princeton University Department of Public Safety.  He reached the rank of Lieutenant at West Windsor, retiring at the end of 2012.

During his law enforcement career, Bill specialized in accreditation, community programs and training and he was instrumental as the accreditation manager in the accomplishment of the State accreditation rewards at West Windsor in 2007 and 2011 as well as the initial National accreditation award at Princeton University DPS in 2015.

After retiring from West Windsor, Bill was hired by the Princeton University Department of Public Safety to complete their initial CALEA Law Enforcement accreditation, accomplished in the spring of 2015.

Bill worked for the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) for 7 months in 2017 – 2018 as a Family Service Specialist Trainee and he currently works as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children Supervisor for the Mercer County office.  He supervises volunteers who advocate for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect.

Bill earned a Master of Arts degree in Human Services Administration from Rider University in 1996 and a Masters in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2016.  Bill has earned a certificate in supervisory management, instructor certification in Franklin Covey’s Seven Effective Habits and Blue Courage.  Bill also completed 294 hours of DCP&P child protective investigations and services training.
