Sergeant Del Carpio brings more than two decades of law enforcement experience to his current role overseeing the School Threat Assessment Bureau. His career includes five years with the Passaic Police Department and over fifteen years with the Hackensack Police Department.

Prior to his current assignment, Sergeant Del Carpio served as the department’s Accreditation Manager for ten years, helping guide policy development, compliance, and professional standards within the agency. His experience in accreditation continues to shape his commitment to best practices, accountability, and organizational excellence.

In his current role, Sergeant Del Carpio focuses on school safety, juvenile matters, threat assessment, and crime prevention. He works closely with school officials, law enforcement personnel, and community partners to support a safe and proactive environment for students, staff, and families.

Further contributing to the field, Sergeant Del Carpio has also served as an adjunct professor for the past ten years, teaching criminal justice courses at Passaic County Community College.
