Accreditation is the proof an organization puts forward as their evidence of their continual pursuit of excellence; achieved by abiding with a set of professional standards and opening their operations to an independent audit. Accreditation is an ongoing process that requires an agency be involved, dedicated, and relentless with the compliance of best practices. Best practices not only embodies themselves in a formal accreditation program it is present in an organization’s everyday discretionary operations as well. This hard work and formal dedication to excellence is recognized by the coalition’s Board of Directors through two professional certification / credentialing programs: the Chief Law Enforcement Officer Certification Program and the Accreditation Manager Certification Program.
